A Scientist, ( the lovely and gracious James Hanson again) who accused our beloved Fuhrer of censoring scientists, received $720,000 from the owner of MoveOn.Org and the Democratic Party, George Soros:
How many people, for instance, know that James Hansen, (see Sunday's Review and Comment on the News) a man billed as a lonely "NASA whistleblower" standing up to the mighty U.S. government, was really funded by Soros' Open Society Institute , which gave him "legal and media advice"? That's right, Hansen was packaged for the media by Soros' flagship "philanthropy," by as much as $720,000, most likely under the OSI's "politicization of science" program. That may have meant that Hansen had media flacks help him get on the evening news to push his agenda and lawyers pressuring officials to let him spout his supposedly "censored" spiel for weeks in the name of advancing the global warming agenda. Hansen even succeeded, with public pressure from his nightly news performances, in forcing NASA to change its media policies to his advantage. Had Hansen's OSI-funding been known, the public might have viewed the whole production differently. The outcome could have been different.
Bush plunders, Bush censors, Bush controls, I've seen big epic exposes on "The Death of Science" or "The Death of Democracy" or "The Death of Everything" for that matter under Chimpstein's watch as our Fuhrer quashes opposing views on anything, which is odd, because all I ever hear are opposing views on anything. It'll be interesting to learn how much Soros bankrolled Gore or the various academys in Hollywood and elsewhere that throw rose petals at his feet every time he farts as he goes for The Hat Trick, Oscar, Emmy, Nobel....
Rudy about to blow it. Elton, Kiddie Porn King?:
 Brown Dirt Cowboy
British rock veteran Elton John on Wednesday defended a photograph he owns after police seized it from an exhibition to investigate a possible breach of child pornography laws. The picture, "Klara And Edda Belly-Dancing," was seized last week, on the eve of an exhibition of works from John's private collection at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead, northeast England. John said the picture by US photographer Nan Goldin, depicting two naked girls, had been widely shown in other countries. It was one of 149 pictures he owns on display at the Thanksgiving exhibition.
He spoke out against the War, I bet Bush planted it. Mahmoud a big hit with the media:
The invitation was on creamy stationery with fancy calligraphy: The Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran "requests the pleasure" of my company to dine with H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The dinner is at the Intercontinental Hotel — with names carefully written out at all the place settings around a rectangular table. There are about 50 of us, academics and journalists mostly. There's Brian Williams across the room, and Christiane Amanpour a few seats down. And at a little after 8pm, on a day when he has already addressed the U.N., the evening after his confrontation at Columbia, a bowing and smiling Mahmoud Admadinejad glides into the room.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's time once again for "The Weekly Bob":
Bob. Living in America and darn glad after Mahmoud's visit...
They shoot gays don't they?:
He's very disppointed in Mahmoud. That he was expecting something better from Mahmoud is telling. He actually believes Mahmoud was sincere in mourning American dead by wanting to plant a wreath at Ground Zero. Maybe Bobby got a dose of perspective, just be glad you live in America you porcine, multi-chinn ed wedge of humming duplicity...
Myanmar Shave:
Burma's ruling junta acknowledged Wednesday that one person was killed and three others injured when its security forces fired guns to suppress an anti-government demonstration in the heart of the country's biggest city, Rangoon.
Climate Change Spawns Giant Russian Baby:
BARNAUL, Russia (Reuters) - A Siberian woman who gave birth to her 12th child -- doing more than her fair share to stem Russia's population decline -- was stunned to find that little Nadia weighed in at a massive 7.75 kg (17.1 lb).
"Vladimir The Giant" is the latest in a growing list of Climate Change atrocities....

| The Calamity of the 1970s? The "Old Consesus"? Global Cooling... |
| 09.23.07 (8:12 am) [edit] |
|
Remember the 1970s? Velvet unicorn posters, mood rings, lava lamps, lava rings, mood lamps, the 6 Million Dollar Man, Rowan and Martin's Laugh In, Jimmy Carter (were they the same thing?), the Farah Fawcett poster, KC and The Sunshine Band and Disco? Ok, the following took place before some of that, but that's all I remember from the 1970s, in 1971 I was 9. Well, guess what? Back in those clean electric halcyon days, many in the scientific community (in particular Mr. Unimpeachable Opinion himself, James Hanson) were speculating that man's insidious, rapine industrial plunder was going to cause an Ice Age:
Climate Change: Did NASA scientist James Hansen, the global warming alarmist in chief, once believe we were headed for . . . an ice age? An old Washington Post story indicates he did. On July 9, 1971, the Post published a story headlined "U.S. Scientist Sees New Ice Age Coming." It told of a prediction by NASA and Columbia University scientist S.I. Rasool. The culprit: man's use of fossil fuels. The Post reported that Rasool, writing in Science, argued that in "the next 50 years" fine dust that humans discharge into the atmosphere by burning fossil fuel will screen out so much of the sun's rays that the Earth's average temperature could fall by six degrees. Sustained emissions over five to 10 years, Rasool claimed, "could be sufficient to trigger an ice age."
We've got 10 years!! Where have we heard that sweet refrain before? Aiding Rasool's research, the Post reported, was a "computer program developed by Dr. James Hansen," who was, according to his resume, a Columbia University research associate at the time. So what about those greenhouse gases that man pumps into the skies? Weren't they worried about them causing a greenhouse effect that would heat the planet, as Hansen, Al Gore and a host of others so fervently believe today? "They found no need to worry about the carbon dioxide fuel-burning puts in the atmosphere," the Post said in the story, which was spotted last week by Washington resident John Lockwood, who was doing research at the Library of Congress and alerted the Washington Times to his finding. Hansen has some explaining to do. The public deserves to know how he was converted from an apparent believer in a coming ice age who had no worries about greenhouse gas emissions to a global warming fear monger. This is a man, as Lockwood noted in his message to the Times' John McCaslin, who has called those skeptical of his global warming theory "court jesters." We wonder: What choice words did he have for those who were skeptical of the ice age theory in 1971? People can change their positions based on new information or by taking a closer or more open-minded look at what is already known. There's nothing wrong with a reversal or modification of views as long as it is arrived at honestly. But what about political hypocrisy? It's clear that Hansen is as much a political animal as he is a scientist. Did he switch from one approaching cataclysm to another because he thought it would be easier to sell to the public? Was it a career advancement move or an honest change of heart on science, based on empirical evidence? If Hansen wants to change positions again, the time is now. With NASA having recently revised historical temperature data that Hansen himself compiled, the door has been opened for him to embrace the ice age projections of the early 1970s. Could be he's feeling a little chill in the air again.
This story nicely buttresses my contention that many in the scientific community want to blame mankind for whatever climatological trend we happen to be on at any given time. Back to your glass holding cell....

Chimpstein's refusal to back Kyoto may lead to rainforest resurgence:
Climate change may lead to lush growth rather than catastrophic tree loss in the Amazonian forests, researchers from the US and Brazil have found. A study, in the journal Science, found that reduced rainfall had led to greener forests, possibly because sunlight levels are higher when there are fewer rainclouds. But scientists cautioned that while the finding raises hopes for the survival of the forests, there are still serious threats. Climate models have suggested that the forests will suffer as the region becomes drier and will release huge quantities of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
...thus contributing to Global Warming. Dan Rather's 70 million lawsuit:
Dan Rather said Thursday that the undue influence of the government and large corporations over newsrooms spurred his decision to file a $70 million lawsuit against CBS and its former parent company. "Somebody, sometime has got to take a stand and say democracy cannot survive, much less thrive with the level of big corporate and big government interference and intimidation in news," he said on CNN's "Larry King Live."

I just wish he'd go away frankly, I'm a little sick of his sanctimonious "I'm just a beat reporter" act.
If it takes 70 million for him to go away...
Climate Change is a new, unique phenomonon and never occured before the advent of the Industrial Age and Man's neferious activities:
Huge belches of methane from bogs in what is now Britain likely contributed to global warming some 55 million years ago, a new study says. The emissions probably amplified an ancient and extreme global warming event that heated Arctic Ocean waters to a balmy 73 degrees Fahrenheit (23 degrees Celsius). The finding adds weight to the idea that methane being released from wetlands today may accelerate modern global warming.
Pave the wetlands!!! Richard Pancost from Britain's University of Bristol and his colleagues studied the chemistry of 55-million-year-old sediments from the Cobham Lignite wetland in southeast England.
Fading Race Baiter now say's Obama only acting "half black":
Jackson later told the newspaper he did not remember making the "acting like he's white" comment about Obama.
Senate vote now reveals who is in the Democrat Party and who belongs to the MoveOn.org party:
Of the WH '08 Dems in the Senate -- HRC, Obama, Biden, and Dodd -- none supported the measure, which means, in essence, that no one chose to repudiate MoveOn.org's "General Betray Us" ad. It is hardly surprising, given the fact that Biden has been the only one to condemn the ad so far [calling it "a mistake," but not a "capital offense." Obama, meanwhile, merely said the ad was "counterproductive."]. And WH Dems can't afford to go on the record saying that they fully support Petraeus -- in the eyes of their primary voters, it would be tantamount to endorsing Bush's war policy.
Assault with a deadly... onion:
A Des Moines man went to jail Wednesday afternoon for allegedly throwing an onion at his wife. The police report begins: "(The victim) states her husband had been drinking and they got into an argument." James Izzolena, 54, of 3515 Sheridan Ave., was charged with domestic assault causing injury. Police said he became upset with his wife, Nicole Izzolena, 27, and tossed an onion at her, striking her in the back of the head.
She told police it made her head hurt. James Izzolena admitted throwing the onion, police said, but he claimed he did not intend to hit her with it. He was being held without bond pending a court appearance today.
The Republican Culture of Corruption marches on:
Hsubramoff charged:

Norman Hsu, the Democratic fund-raiser with a habit of fleeing the law, confessed to FBI agents last week that he had pressured investors in what he now admits were phony business deals to contribute to political campaigns, prosecutors said in an indictment that was unsealed today.

Who's the mostest of them all:
Ok Lefties, pick one:
It is the time of the year once again for Americans to mourn the loss of friends, family members and co-workers and to remember all who died on September 11, 2007. But while most of us hold the anniversary as a reminder of those who have passed and of the dangers that still exist everyday, Osama bin Laden has been spending his time grooming his beard and reading up on current events so that he can release a new video to the public. This year, bin Laden was nice enough to distribute two videos within a week, which together contain over an hour of new material. The first video, which was released on the Thursday before September 11, contains 47 minutes of Osama speaking about everything from the holocaust to global warming. He praises the 9/11 hijackers and, as usual, suggests that Islam is the only option for savior. He continues by bashing George Bush and lists many interesting statements regarding the world’s current situation. While I cannot support bin Laden’s opinion that all Americans should be killed and that Islam is the only way to be saved, it is hard to overlook the statements that he makes about the Bush administration. Bin Laden states, “This war was entirely unnecessary, as testified to by your own reports,” and goes on to say that despite the Democrats attempts to end the war, nothing can be done because “those with real power and influence are those with the most capital.” I urge you to read the transcript of the video for yourself, as there are countless arguments made against Bush and his supporting Americans.
Yes, Bin Laden echoes many Daily Kos, Huffington Post, BDS talking points. Read on as my point is buttressed:
As of late, if you were to bring up the president in a discussion you would find that many Americans disapprove of the decisions he has made. At the same time, Osama bin Laden presents many good arguments against the president and many of his reasons for disapproving of Bush are similar to those of anti-Bush Americans.
Um, gee, I think he knows damn well who his target audience is with remarks like that....almost a variat ion of The Stockholm Syndrome if you ask me. The fact that Bush presents many good arguments against Bin Laden seems lost on this smoldering drone. I'm disappointed, I thought it was going to be a poll you know, A. Bush B. Bin Laden that sort of thing. The results would have been most illuminating..
Bush Shock Troops Taze "Dude":
GAINESVILLE - Police have released the incident report detailing the Tasering of a University of Florida student during a campus forum with Sen. John Kerry Monday, and the officer who actually Tasered Andrew Meyer wrote in the report that Meyer later told police, "You didn't do anything wrong."
Andrew Meyer, the latest victim of BushCo. Junta...GITMO awaits, you're either with Kerry or against him...
The wonders of National Health Care:
Liberal MP Belinda Stronach, who is battling breast cancer, travelled to California last June for an operation that was recommended as part of her treatment, says a report. Stronach's spokesman, Greg MacEachern, told the Toronto Star that the MP for Newmarket-Aurora had a "later-stage" operation in the U.S. after a Toronto doctor referred her. "Belinda had one of her later-stage operations in California, after referral from her personal physicians in Toronto. Prior to this, Belinda had surgery and treatment in Toronto, and continues to receive follow-up treatment there," said MacEachern. He said speed was not the reason why she went to California. Instead, MacEachern said the decision was made because the U.S. hospital was the best place to have it done due to the type of surgery required.
Good thing Belinda could flee Canada to the country with the worst health care on earth to receive treatment. Why didn't she go to Cuba?Didn't want her sphincter mistakenly sewn to her neck ala Fidel? Seriously, I hope she's makes a full recovery. If we get HillaryCare where will sick Canadians go?
Meanwhile...

Jesse just being....well Jessie:
Jackson sharply criticized presidential hopeful and Illinois Sen. Barack Obama for “acting like he’s white” in what Jackson said has been a tepid response to six black juveniles’ arrest on attempted-murder charges in Jena, La. Jackson, who also lives in Illinois, endorsed Obama in March, according to The Associated Press.
There's so much wrong in that one paragraph but I don't want to get called a racist. Isn't Obama half white? How can he not act like half of what he is?
Back to your glass holding cell:
"Today, law enforcement in Orem has enshrined itself as the laughing stock of our country by prosecuting a 70-year-old great-grandmother for allegedly not watering her lawn,"

I must determine the effect not watering the lawn has on Climate Change before I render a decision, I would think it is a contributor to Climate Change therefore......GITMO! I find this shocking.....

Hollywood's favorite sock puppet:
Did anyone not see this coming?:
Tonight, Al Gore won an Emmy for Current TV, his global television network that allows viewers to "create and influence what airs on TV." The audience gave Gore a long standing ovation as he and his Current TV partner, Joel Hyatt, walked onstage to receive the award for "interactive television services."
Al, flush with yet another victory as he goes for the Hat Trick..
So, not only has Al created the Internet, he also appears to have invented the remote as well. What a visionary. Have you noticed nearly every award he is up for he wins? Maybe Hollywood is his sock puppet. The Nobel is next. Then Prom King..
"The Flying Nun" goes on a predictable anti-war rant:
Twenty-two years after her immortal Oscar speech, the Fox network really did NOT like Sally Field. Accepting her Emmy on Sunday night for lead actress in a drama series ("Brothers and Sisters"), Field stumbled halfway through, lost her train of thought, screeched at the audience to stop applauding so she could finish talking -- and then was bleeped by Fox censors as she stammered through an anti-war rant. "And, let's face it, if the mothers ruled the war, there would be no (expletive) wars in the first place," Field said, but Fox cut away for much of her comment. Backstage, Field told reporters that she wanted to recognize mothers who wait for their sons to come home from war. She added, however, that she "didn't have a political agenda."
Told that she had been bleeped, Field responded: "Oh well. I've been there before. Well, good. I don't care. I have no comment other than, oh well. I said what I wanted to say. I wanted to pay homage to the mothers of the world, and let their work be seen and valued."
Aren't there mothers over there in Iraq in our military as we speak? O.J. getting Al Caponed?:

An apparent audiotape of O.J. Simpson's standoff with men he accused of stealing his memorabilia begins with the ex-NFL star demanding, "Don't let nobody out this room. ... Think you can steal my (expletive) and sell it?" Simpson was arrested Sunday and booked at a county jail on charges connected with what police described as a robbery at a Las Vegas hotel. A judge ordered Simpson be held without bail, Sgt. John Loretto said. A court date was set for Thursday.
He needs to go on an anti-war rant. The President is motivated by politics (gasp)! Greenspan: We're doomed because of Bush.
I knew there was a reason 60 Minutes had Greenspan after his book release on in under 5 seconds:
Alan Greenspan claims Iraq war was really for oil.
He must have been in on strategy sessions and actually heard this. Isn't he married to a highly placed CBS reporter? But wait!! There's more:
Greenspan, 81, is understood to believe that Saddam Hussein posed a threat to the security of oil supplies in the Middle East.
Maybe he supported Saddam's removal? Apparently, Greenspan is clarifying his remarks in a Washington Post interview and I forgot my mandatory password and it's Monday and I don't want to spend 4 hours re-registering....Ah! Here it is!
Iran is not a threat.
Six hundred Iranian Shihab-3 missiles are pointed at targets throughout Israel, and will be launched if either Iran or Syria are attacked, an Iranian website affiliated with the regime reported on Monday.
They are only protecting themselves from an Imperial America....
Thompson: Too lazy??
Madame Hillrod prepares to bring all of us under the iron heel of The Collective:
She's at it again, folks. Hillary Rodham is going to give us all of the details for her grand plan to bring the United States into line with the rest of the socialized medicine world. Rodham will tell us that her plan is going to cost around $110 billion a year. That's a lie ... and she knows it's a lie. Take a look at every medical-related spending program out there, from Medicare on .. and you'll find that the politicians who brought us these programs flat-out lied when they told us how much they would cost. Hillary's $110 billion a year will become $300 billion an year and more before her husband makes his next conquest. Make no mistake. Every single politician in Washington knows that the surest way to make affordable health care available to every single American is through the private sector. They know that eliminating the regulations that stifle competition, and getting rid of insurance mandates that drive up the cost of even the most basic policies would bring millions of the uninsured back into the ranks of the fully insured. They know that giving individuals the same tax treatment for buying their own health insurance policies that their employers get providing those policies for them would solve much our problem with the uninsured. The know all of these things .. .but they also know one more very important fact. With every private sector solution introduced into our health care system politicians and government lose power ... and that just cannot be permitted. The goal of these politicians is not to bring you health care. Their goal is to make you more dependent on government ... and them.
Not to be outdone, the elfin Kucinich pushes Socialized Food. Vegan of course...
What if you have an erection, I mean election, lasting longer than 5 hours? This thing already seems eternal....
Lest we forget:
 Prison Bitch
Bob solves all of our problems in Iraq and The War on Terror in one swell foop:
 Bob "The Decider"
Many times I have been asked, what IS the solution. What is YOUR SOLUTION BOB!?
Well, here it is: 1. Begin Drawing the troop levels down today, not in 18 months. 2. Release EVERY receipt for this little war into the public domain, and show the World, Congress, and most importantly the People of the United States EXACTLY what is being done, in the "name of supporting the troops".
Solution number 3 is my favorite and amply demonstrates Bob's subtle grasp of geopolitical nuance, his "Amazing Grace and Chuck" moment if you will:
3. In 1 week's time, gather the heads of government or their official representatives, including those of Al-Qaeda and whoever else, to a meeting. And begin talking, not in hidden rooms, in public meetings. The topic of the meeting and the nature of the meeting - "What can I do as a participant of this meeting do to assist and help everyone else attending this meeting bring the middle east to a peaceful solution." If they want to fight over religion, money, the size of the dicks, whatever, then they should not have even shown up because they don't care about their own people, they care only to take advantage.
4. The Farting Decider and his Snarling Prick, (Translation: BushHitler and Darth Cheney to my 2 or 3 august readers) need to let Iraqis decide how they want to run their country. Iran, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and especially the U.S. have absolutely NO PLACE in telling any "sovereign" country how to manage their country. Holy Crap, Bush and Cheney have bankrupt the United States, there are banks in England that people are rushing to withdraw their money because of the "investments" in the U.S. housing market that is failing as we speak. Bush and his crook cohorts are NOT in any way qualified to tell other countries how to operate.
There you have it: The Sordid Boil Impacted Buttock of the Body GeoPolitic, courtesy of Bob. I for one, am speechless...

Greenspan: Bush's economic policies driven by politics:
Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan criticized President George W. Bush for pursuing an economic agenda driven by politics rather than sound policy, with little concern for future consequences.
Of course economic policies are driven by politics. Didn't he (ChimpHitler) also basically enact the same economic policies as the man who appointed you? Only less so? If liberal economic policies (tax the rich, redistribute the wealth so as to buy votes amongst the proletariat and give us stunted little proles the impression that they are as Bill O'Reilly would say "looking out for us") aren't driven by politics, I'll eat my sizeable hat. I prefer Ronald Reagan's devotion to free markets regardless of how un-progressive and unsophisticated and brutish they are.
Elizabeth Edwards does the dirty work her perfectly coiffed idiot husband is afraid to do:
Not sure it's really meant that way, but in any case, Elizabeth Edwards makes hers the first campaign to directly criticize MoveOn (We paid for this party, we're taking it back).org's "General Betray Us" ad, breaking with the Democrats' strategy of, basically, ignoring it. “Someone who’s spent their life in the military doesn’t deserve ‘General Betray Us,’” said Edwards, wife of Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards.
He was probably getting a facial and was unavailable for comment. Maybe she should run instead.
Go Rudy go:
WASHINGTON - Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani criticized Democratic front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton in a full-page ad in Friday's New York Times, accusing her of assailing Iraq war commander Gen. David Petraeus' character. In response, a liberal anti-war group is running a $50,000 ad campaign against Giuliani in Iowa, which begins the presidential nominating process. The television ad from MoveOn (We paid for this party, we're taking it back). org Political Action, which will start airing next week, accuses Giuliani of a "betrayal of trust" for abandoning the Iraq Study Group.

Climate Change rips through Bear Country.
A meeting of the mindless:
Ahmadinejad to stay in New York for two days before heading to Venezuela, Iranian news agency reports.
Feel the love! Upon arrival in New York the phrase "You have the right to remain silent" comes to mind. GITMO, maybe. Lemon Pepper Fish, Prayer Oils, Prayer Beads...pamper yourself, you deserve it...
OJ may be Al Caponed after all.
Iranian leader echoing many BDS, Daily Kos, MoveOn (We paid for this Party, we're taking it back).Org talking points:
TEHRAN, Iran - President Bush will one day be tried in court just like deposed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein for his involvement in the Iraq tragedy, Iran's supreme leader said Friday. "A day will come that the current U.S. president and officials will be tried in an international supreme court for the catastrophes they caused in Iraq," he said. "Americans will have to answer for why they don't end occupation of Iraq and why waves of terrorism and insurgency have overwhelmed the country," he added. "It will not be like this forever and some day they will be stopped as happened to Hitler, Saddam and certain other European leaders."
As I've been able to understand it, aren't yous guys behind a sizable portion of the waves of terrorism and insurgency that have overwhelmed the country?
The R.C.O.C."Hsubramoff" Update:
Grand Junction - Disgraced Democratic donor Yung Yuen "Norman" Hsu looked jittery as he made a video appearance from the Mesa County Jail on Thursday while a judge set his bail at $5 million and scheduled an extradition hearing for next week. Mesa County District Attorney Pete Hautzinger asked for $50 million bail, citing new allegations that Hsu has defrauded investors of more than $70 million in recent years. Hautzinger also pointed out that Hsu had a checkbook showing a $6 million balance when he was arrested in Grand Junction on Sept. 6. But the attorney representing Hsu in the bail hearing, Eric Elliff of Denver, called the requested amount "ridiculous." He said after the hearing that he doesn't know if Hsu, 56, can come up with the $5 million.
 Prison Bitch
I guess Hsu will just have to cool his heels in jail. Maybe John Edwards can post bond....
Eating less meat will save the Earth from the ravages of men, er I mean Climate Change:
LONDON - Eating less meat could help slow global warming by reducing the number of livestock and thereby decreasing the amount of methane flatulence from the animals, scientists said on Thursday.
"If people knew that they were threatening the environment by eating more meat, they might think twice before ordering a burger," Brewster said.
Hark, I hear the ominous strains of my Gingerbread House collapsing . Agh! I didn't renew my homeowner's insurance. People in Gingerbread Houses shouldn't eat meat...

The R.C.O.C:
Norman "Hsubramoff" drops the soap:
 Prison Bitch
A political fund-raiser from California, who was arrested last week but had remained hospitalized in Grand Junction while federal and state authorities worked on his extradition, was discharged from the hospital today and booked into Mesa County's jail, authorities said. Yung Yuen "Norman" Hsu, 56, was arrested last Thursday after becoming ill on an Amtrak train while traveling from San Francisco to Denver. He was booked into Mesa County's jail on an outstanding warrant from California because he does not have any local charges, sheriff's officials said. He is expected to be extradited to San Mateo County, Calif., and he's scheduled to appear in an advisement hearing by video from the jail tomorrow afternoon. Last week, Hsu turned himself in to authorities in San Mateo and posted $2 million bond in connection with a 1992 felony case. He had been convicted of grand theft in a $1 million fraud scheme involving the sale of latex gloves.
Turn your head and cough! After going on the lam for several years in foreign countries, he resurfaced in New York City as a top fund-raiser for Democratic candidates, until his criminal history came to light. Hsu has contributed more than $600,000 in the past three years and did fund-raising for federal, state and municipal candidates, including U.S. Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton, as well as U.S. Rep. Mark Udall, candidate for a Colorado Senate seat.
William Jefferson (D La.) removing $90,000 in bribe money from his freezer during Katrina, Diane Fi's (D Ca.) machinations with her husband that greatly enriched them, Harry Reid's (D NV) shitty little land deals with his sons, Charles Schumer's (D NY) aides illegally obtaining the credit history of an African American Republican senatorial candidate, intending to do God knows what with it, (which would have caused race riots were the party affiliations reversed) and Pelosi wanting her own private air force to shuttle her across the country ( when all she needs to get across country quickly is a diaper ala Lisa Nowak ) and what do you get? Why the Republican Culture of Corruption of course..
ChimpHitler wants to cut troops:
By promising that the extra combat troops sent to Iraq will come home next year if conditions allow, President Bush hopes to buy enough patience from politicians and the public for success to bloom in that fractured, violent country. The president's pitch for more time - which has aggravated Democrats as well as many rank-and-file Republicans - was scheduled for a televised address at 9 p.m. EDT Thursday. Aides chose the Oval Office, the White House's most formal, presidential setting, for the 18-minute speech.
Pelosi: We will not surrender until we surrender:
President Bush's policy announced by General Petraeus is a path to 10 more years of war in Iraq. General Petraeus' testimony to Congress drew a bright line: redeployment is not an option; endless war in Iraq is the Administration's only option. "Under the Bush plan, 130,000 Americans will remain in harm's way in Iraq at a cost of hundreds of billions of additional taxpayer dollars. This status quo policy was rejected by General James Jones, whose recent report stated that significant force reductions are possible and that we must reduce our military footprint (not to be confused with the much ballyhooed Carbon Footprint) in Iraq. "The Bush-Petraeus plan of 130,000 Americans in Iraq for 10 more years is not a reduction in our footprint; it is an insult to the intelligence of the American people to call that a new direction. It is a status quo plan that tells the Iraqi government that they do not need to change. "The American people long ago rejected the President's plan to stay in Iraq, which is why they voted for a New Direction in 2006. Yet, with his veto pen and the 60-vote hurdle in the Senate, the President is preventing the redeployment of our troops, the rebuilding of our military, and the refocusing of our nation's efforts on fighting terrorism."
Reid: I concur.
The Earth May survive the Sun's explosion:
What happens to planets when their stars age and die? That’s not an academic question. About five billion years from now, astronomers say, the Sun will run out of hydrogen fuel and swell temporarily more than 100 times in diameter into a so-called red giant, swallowing Mercury and Venus and dooming life on Earth, but perhaps not Earth itself.
That's because Bush didn't sign Kyoto and if current projections regarding Global Warming are correct in 5 billion years the Earth will be it's own sun. Thank you Mr. President.
Speaking of dropping the soap, a new weekly installment:
The Weekly Bob.

Plans to bomb Iran are being crafted:
WASHINGTON —&n bsp; A recent decision by German officials to withhold support for any new sanctions against Iran has pushed a broad spectrum of officials in Washington to develop potential scenarios for a military attack on the Islamic regime, FOX News confirmed Tuesday.
I wonder why?:
(CNN) -- Iran wants "peace and friendship for all," the country's president said Wednesday while again denying Western assertions his nation is pursuing nuclear weapons and trying to destabilize Iraq.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaks at the Natanz nuclear facility in April. But Mahmoud Ahmadinejad took a hard line against Israel, calling it "an invader" and saying it "cannot continue its life."
The Big Mac is enlisted in the fight against Global Warming:
A Japanese government website crashed Wednesday as people raced to take up an offer of a half-price McDonald's hamburger in exchange for pledging to fight global warming. The Japanese unit of the US burger giant Tuesday offered a Big Mac for 150 yen (1.3 dollars), about half the normal price, to anyone demonstrating a commitment to preventing climate change. People were asked to check up to 39 boxes on a form they could download from the environment ministry's website, each listing a way of reducing carbon dioxide emissions blamed for global warming.
If we stem the tide now, the Earth will pay the price in 5 billion years....enveloping
The inhumane treatment at GITMO continues:
Citing fear for their safety and that of their families, some prisoners at Gitmo don’t want to return to their home countries. I say release them into the custody of someone from the ACLU or Code Pink or one of the Democrat Senators like Ted Kennedy.
Fearing militants or even their own governments, some prisoners at Guantanamo Bay from China, Saudi Arabia and other nations do not want to go home, according to transcripts of hearings at the U.S. prison in Cuba. Uzbekistan, Yemen, Algeria and Syria are also among the countries to which detainees do not want to return. The inmates have told military tribunals that they or their families could be tortured or killed if they are sent back.
But I thought they were being tortured at GITMO??

The Democrat's Premature Ejaculations:
Petraeus (Betrayus) is a liar, Bush, (who if you believe most on the Left can't even read "My Pet Goat") wrote the report:

The top U.S. general in Iraq outlined plans Monday for the withdrawal of 30,000 troops by next summer, drawing praise from the White House but a chilly reception from anti-war Democrats. Gen. David Petraeus said a 2,000-member Marine unit would return home this month without replacement in the first sizable cut since a 2003 U.S-led invasion toppled Saddam Hussein and unleashed sectarian violence. Further "force reductions will continue," he told a nationally televised congressional hearing that was frequently interrupted by anti-war protesters. Petraeus said it would be "premature to make recommendations on the pace," and he recommended that President Bush wait until March 2008 to make any decisions. Petraeus didn't say so, but Ambassador Ryan Crocker, the day's only other witness, strongly suggested that the administration's troop buildup had prevented a debacle.
Skelton and Lantos (who looked like a cross between David Brinkley and Nosferatu) set the tone for the left with the veiled insinuation that Petraeus was a mouthpiece for BushHitler. I also believe Harry and Nanci called it "The Bush Report." We also were blessed to witness the childish antics of the Anti-war movement, as ketchup (or was it catsup?), stained American Flags t-shirts were the order of the day. And of course the day would not have been complete without another Cindy (Freedom is free otherwise it would be called "expensivedom") Sheehan arrest.
Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan was arrested Monday in or near the hearing room where Gen. David Petraeus and U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker are testifying on the situation in Iraq, according to the U.S. Capitol Police.
Gawds! The constant buzz of low level static must be deafening!
Bin Laden wants you!
Osama bin Laden urged sympathizers to join the "caravan" of martyrs as he praised one of the Sept. 11 suicide hijackers in a new video that emerged Tuesday to mark the sixth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Al-Qaida traditionally issues a video every year on the anniversary, with the last testament of one of the 19 hijackers involved in the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. This year's video showed hijacker Waleed al-Shehri addressing the camera and warning the U.S.: "We shall come at you from your front and back, your right and left."
6th Anniversary:
Of course, as we all know, 9/11 was an inside job!
The Patriot Act:
NFL security confiscated a video camera and its tape from a New England Patriots employee on the team's sideline during Sunday's game against the Jets in a suspected spying incident, sources said. The camera and its tape were placed in a sealed box and forwarded to the league office for investigation, the sources said.
Mean Spirited Republicans call on Soft Pleasing Democrats to condemn the "Betray Us" ad and the Democrats respond.... with mild condemnation!
A senior Democratic leadership aide called the ad an "unnecessary distraction" and said Democrats are prepared to focus on "Petraeus executing a mismanaged mission."
The MoveOn Puppet Masters smile quietly to themselves....Bwahahahahahahaha!

Osama Bin Laden's latest video covers a wide range of Daily Kos, BDS talking points, praising Noam Chomsky, anger at re-electing Bush, scolding the democrats for not doing enough to end the war and of course...Global Warming:
He goes on to call Noam Chomsky "among one of the most capable of those from your own side," and mentions global warming and "the Kyoto accord."
"You permitted Bush to complete his first term, and stranger still, chose him for a second term, which gave him a clear mandate from you -- with your full knowledge and consent -- to continue to murder our people in Iraq and Afghanistan. Then you claim to be innocent! The innocence of yours is like my innocence of the blood of your sons on the 11th -- were I to claim such a thing."
"People of America: the world is following your news in regards to your invasion of Iraq, for people have recently come to know that, after several years of tragedies of this war, the vast majority of you want it stopped. Thus, you elected the Democratic Party for this purpose, but the Democrats haven't made a move worth mentioning. On the contrary, they continue to agree to the spending of tens of billions to continue the killing and war there."
He also speaks to recent issues grabbing headlines in the United States, referring to "the reeling of many of you under the burden of interest-related debts, insane taxes and real estate mortgages; global warming and its woes..."
A real estate mortgage spiel from OBL, he forgot to mention popcorn lung to keep the tape truly topical.

'GREEN' GORE GOES GULFSTREAM: VIDEO CATCHES ECO-WARRIOR ON LUXURY PRIVATE JET Fri Sep 07 2007 07:48:23 ET
**Exclusive**
As former Vice President Al Gore waits to hear if he has won this year's Nobel Peace Prize for his tireless effort on climate change, a new video will air this weekend capturing Gore on a fuel-guzzling private jet!
FOXNEWS host Sean Hannity is set to unleash the damning video this Sunday night, network sources reveal.

Ok, we stunted little proles are supposed to drive around in glorified golf carts, recycle our tin foil hats, live in glass holding cells, exterminate the noble moose, get a 2nd mortgage our gingerbread houses so as to lessen our Carbon Footprint while this asshole spends more on the power bill for his mansion than I make in a month and gets to flit around the world in a private luxury jet to tell us how the Earth is sick, poisoned and dying and it's all our fault?? And we've had to endure the lectures by many on the Sensitive Left all last week about Republican Larry Craig's hypocrisy. Gimme a fuqueing break. What about Al's?

Good!
WASHINGTON - Chuck Hagel will announce Monday that he is retiring from the U.S. Senate and will not run for president next year, people close to the Nebraska Republican said Friday. Hagel plans to announce that "he will not run for re-election and that he does not intend to be a candidate for any office in 2008," said one person, who asked not to be named.Hagel has scheduled a press conference for 10 a.m. Monday at the Omaha Press Club. According to one person interviewed, Hagel told Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky on Friday morning that he had decided to retire. Hagel's staff learned of his decision that afternoon.
Senator Hagel's retirement may mark a resurgence in my opinion of the Senate. Now if the bookish little snot merchant Harry Reid would go away or get nailed for some of the shady land deals he's involved in with his sons and be forced to resign, the world would be a better place...it'll never happen.

The Halliburton Orbital Death Laser Claims Another:
ROME (AP) - Luciano Pavarotti, opera's biggest superstar of the late 20th century, died Thursday. He was 71. He was the son of a singing baker and became the king of the high C's. Pavarotti, who had been diagnosed last year with pancreatic cancer and underwent treatment last month, died at his home in his native Modena at 5 a.m., his manager told The Associated Press in an e-mailed statement. His wife, Nicoletta, four daughters and sister were among family and friends at his side, manager Terri Robson said.
...and Ted shall replace him!
No, your eyes were not fooling you Wednesday night: That really was Sen. Ted Kennedy onstage singing the 1980s do good/feel good/sounds awful song “We Are the World” alongside legendary producer and songwriter Quincy Jones, Sen. Marsha Blackburn and John Rich, half of the popular country duo Big & Rich.
Didn't Nanci pull this little stunt not too long ago?
US Democratic presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich, on a Mideast visit that included a stop in Syria, said the country lambasted by the Bush administration deserves credit for taking in more than a million Iraqi refugees.
Kucinich, a strong anti-war opponent who trails far in the US presidential polls, also said he won't visit Iraq on his trip to the region because he considers the US military deployment there illegal.
What's the matter Dennis? Afraid you might see a positive development? Where's your fucking head scarf? Nanci's gonna be pissed! Little fucking Vegan Keebler Elf! Oops! Did I just pull a Ted Nugent?
Bubba stole my papers:
Kathleen Willey, the woman who says Bill Clinton groped her in the Oval Office, claims she was the target of an unusual house burglary over the weekend that nabbed a manuscript for her upcoming book, which promises explosive revelations that could damage Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.
Good thing he didn't grope you in the bathroom? Or did he? This is quite interesting:
Maybe the UK is finally getting it ... the BBC dropped a special on climate change because it is 'impartial,' and it is not the BBC's job to save the planet.
The BBC has cancelled a plan for a Comic Relief-style day of programmes about environmental issues a week after it came under fire from two of its most senior news and current affairs executives over impartiality issues surrounding the TV special. Planet Relief would have highlighted concerns about global warming and encouraged viewers to take part in a mass "switch-off" to save energy. Ricky Gervais and Graham Norton were among the celebrities mooted to take part. However, it faced criticism from the BBC head of TV news, Peter Horrocks, and the Newsnight editor, Peter Barron, at the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival 10 days ago amid concerns that it would breach the corporation's guidelines on impartiality. Asked whether the BBC should campaign on issues such as climate change, Mr Horrocks told a session at the TV festival: "I absolutely don't think we should do that because it's not impartial. It's not our job to lead people and proselytise about it." Barron added: "It is absolutely not the BBC's job to save the planet. I think there are a lot of people who think that, but it must be stopped."
I admit to being confused here...so the TV (or Telly) special was impartial (which is good) and the Comic Relief thing was taking sides (which is bad)? But the Impartial Special (which is the professed goal of the BEEB) was dropped? But they spiked the Telly special as well, which was trying to save the world, which is not the job of the BBC? Or are they talking about one thing here? God, I need coffee! Sorry folks, I still haven't had my first cup of coffee yet..misleading headlines cause tailspin of brain...
Global Warming will lead to more hurricanes, moose farts, popcorn lung, gingerbread houses collapsing AND heart attacks:
Global warming may be forcing polar bears southward and melting glaciers, but it could also have an impact on your heart.Doctors warn that the warmer weather expected with climate change might also produce more heart problems. "If it really is a few degrees warmer in the next 50 years, we could definitely have more cardiovascular disease," said Dr. Karin Schenck-Gustafsson, of the department of cardiology at Sweden's Karolinska Institute.
Cardiologists are now climatologists as well. Everybody wants to get into the act!!
