The people of New Orleans love stupidity. People who leaked information about Top Secret operations during wartime were once called traitors, now they are heroes.
Remember when somebody leaked the existence of secret terrorist prisons in Europe to the Washington Post? She was discovered last week...and her name is Mary McCarthy. This "reporter" leaked information that compromised several operations around the world. Countries who were helping us in the war on terror had their cover blown. Consequently, the prisons where we had terrorists being handled were probably shut down.
Of course, to the mainstream media and the Democrats, Mary McCarthy is a hero. They see the non-leak of Valerie Plame's non-secret identity to the press as the same thing. Wrong. Those prisons in Eastern Europe were a top secret national security operation. It doesn't even come close to being the same thing. But the terrorist appeasers on the left see those prisons as wrong. Somebody might be tortured, after all. We can't have that! So they think her leak was a good leak.
...case in point: John Kerry:
The Poodle weighed in yesterday on 'This Week' with George Stephanopoulos: "Here's my fundamental view of this, that you have somebody being fired from the CIA for allegedly telling the truth, and you have no one fired from the White House for revealing a CIA agent in order to support a lie. That underscores what's really wrong in Washington, DC here." Uh-huh...keep telling yourself that, John. It is true what they say, isn't it? If you just repeat something over and over again, people will start to believe it. It worked for O.J.
Mary McCarthy is no hero. She jeopardized our efforts to save American lives through the war on terror. If charged and convicted of the crime for which she was fired, she should spend the rest of her life in prison. By the way, she was a Kerry supporter and...get this...was appointed by none other than Sandy "Pants" Berger, best known for his five-finger discount of classified documents at the national archives.
I've heard people on the left saying for years that gas prices should be around $5.00 a gallon ( you know, like Europe) so as to control behavior and combat global warming, now the biggest block of people whining about gas prices are those on the left for purely political reasons. At least there is one honest leftist out there:
MADSION, Wis. -- The daughter of the founder of Earth Day says she doesn't think gasoline prices are too high. Tia Nelson, the daughter of former U.S. Sen. Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin, said "we pay less for a gallon of gas than anywhere else in the world. And if we paid what the Europeans paid we'd wouldn't be driving vehicles that got 12 miles a gallon."
Behavior modification? Read on..
She said that if there's a silver lining in the higher gas prices, it's that people are driving less and companies are being forced to think about being more efficient. Saturday is the 37th annual observance of Earth Day -- the first without Gaylord Nelson, who died last July. Tia Nelson said it's a bittersweet day for her family but added that they are grateful his legacy lives on.
Do you know why April 22nd was picked as Earth Day? It's the same day as I.V. Lenin's birthday. Coincidence? I think not. Kenneth Lay takes the stand, while this is being peddled as part of the "Republican Culture of Corruption" most of the wrong doing took place whilst Clinton was President. But perception is reality. Moussaoui needs to fry, say prosecutors:
Prosecutors in the trial of al-Qaeda conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui have urged the jury to condemn him to death. In closing arguments at his sentencing trial, the prosecution asked jurors to "put an end to his hatred and venom". "There is no place on this good Earth for Zacarias Moussaoui," David Raskin told a Virginia courthouse.

Human Rights Activists argue that lethal injection may cause a boo-boo in Death Row Inmates. Fucked up priorities. America will be destroyed by an avalanche of do-gooders. Why does he get to wear the hat? Most Americans on trial for their lives probably wouldn't get to wear hats. Trivial, I know. Deep Throat is pushing a book at 92, he'll probably go off on an anti-Bush tirade. Pierre Boulle had it all wrong, the Chimps should've been the warriors not the Gorillas:
Police in Sierra Leone are on the hunt for a group of chimpanzees, who escaped from their wildlife sanctuary after a fatal attack on construction workers. Armed reinforcements are combing the area after a Sierra Leonean died and two Americans were seriously injured. Security personnel said four men were attacked on Sunday after entering the Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Angry chimps killed and mutilated the driver. The two Americans are in a hospital in the capital, Freetown.

I don't know what would be worse, being attacked by a chimp or recovering in a hospital in Freetown. Bin Laden's call falls on deaf ears.
