Bush appeasing the ignorant by ordering gas price gouging probe:

There's also the pesky law of supply and demand.  In case you haven't checked lately, the supply of crude oil and refined gasoline is limited, but the demand is increasing worldwide.  This leads to temporary shortages and higher prices.  It's not Bush's fault, and it's not the fault of the oil companies.  If you want someone to blame, try the environmental lobby that fights any and all exploration for new sources of crude oil.

Cynthia "Bud" McKinney's attorney takes a powder. Fox News' likable Tony Snow plans to spend the next two years being cut to ribbons by the likes of Helen "Hank" Thomas and other vipers in the White House Press Corp. Speaking of Thomas! She's somewhat "Albrightlike", I wonder if she can leg press 400 pounds as well? I know she probably could do it with her mouth. More from Boortz.com:

Christopher Hitchens wants to know if there will be a special prosecutor in this latest CIA leak case.  You know, like there's been for the Valerie Plame (non) affair.  Somehow, I doubt it.

The Left skates again. Just like Sandy Berger, Charles "Chuck" Schumer, Harry "Hank"Reid, Cynthia "Bud" McKinney et. al. Cal Thomas backs up my previous point that Mary "Benedict Arnold" McCarthy is a fucking traitor:

What do you call someone who, in violation of her oath, reveals government secrets to a reporter, who then prints them and exposes a clandestine operation designed to get information from suspected terrorists that could save American lives?

Here is what one dictionary says about that word: "One who betrays another's trust or is false to an obligation or duty." The word so defined is traitor.

The Central Intelligence Agency fired an intelligence officer after determining she leaked classified information to a Washington Post reporter about secret overseas prisons used for interrogating suspected terrorists. News reports say the fired employee is Mary McCarthy, who was appointed by former National Security Adviser Samuel Berger as special assistant to President Bill Clinton and senior director for Intelligence Programs. Berger has had his own problems with classified documents. In 2005, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges that he stole five copies of highly classified terrorism documents while doing "research" at the National Archives building.

I know, traitor is such a quaint, archaic, non-progressive word. Bush's reluctance to remove all the Clintonoids from the CIA, FBI and Pentagon is coming back to bite him and is hurting National Security, he had to have known these pigs would play politics. It seems to me that McCarthy is being hailed for some of the very same reasons Scooter Libby is being reviled. She won't see any jail time. She'll be on Larry "the suspenders" King peddling a book. Nothing to see here, move along: Good economic news: Consumer Confidence Highest in 4 Years:

Consumers shrugged off higher gasoline prices in April and sent a widely watched barometer of consumer confidence to its highest level in almost four years, a private research group said Tuesday.

But the New York-based Conference Board warned that if fuel prices continue to rise, it would cast a pall on consumer spending, which accounts for two-thirds of all U.S. economic activity.

How can that be what with all the multi-chinned, florid Jabba the Hut "Big Oil" guys gouging us little guys and running away with 400 million dollar retirement packages? 3 arrested in Egyptian resort bombing. Denny Pelosi. When republicans start to sound like democrats RUN!

Few things are less becoming in a political party than desperation, as Republicans are now demonstrating as they panic over rising oil and gas prices. If blaming private industry for Congress's own energy mistakes is the best the GOP can do, no wonder its voters may sit out the November election.

Oil prices hit $75 a barrel last week, while gas has reached a national average of about $2.85 a gallon. The Republican response has been to put on Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi fright wigs (LOL, good one) and shout about corporate greed and market manipulation. House Speaker Denny Hastert and Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist fired off a letter to President Bush yesterday demanding the Federal Trade Commission and Justice Department investigate "price fixing" and "gouging." Senator Arlen Specter wants to go further and impose stricter "antitrust" laws for oil companies, as well as a "windfall profits" tax. Mr. Hastert also delighted the class warriors in the press corps by lambasting recently retired Exxon CEO Lee Raymond's pay "unconscionable."

Moussaoui begging for the long walk to Ol' Sparky:

With a mocking round of applause, Zacarias Moussaoui delivered his own sarcastic verdict on US justice, America, and Americans.

The latest example of the Al-Qaeda plotter's savage wit came as he was led from court to the cells Monday after jurors were sent out to decide whether he should die by lethal injection, or spend the rest of his life in prison.

Ooh! I was wrong. I guess lethal injection is on the table. He may get a boo-boo from the injection site (or whatever the latest Human Rights bitch is) so it's best to have several boxes of  those Flintstone's bandages on hand to avoid lawsuits from the ACLUseless and other morons. We must see to it that he doesn't feel any pain. His comfort is paramount....Mike Farell to the rescue.

...and making sure there isn't price gouging is dangerous to the citizenry exactly why?

The point being, is that there isn't evidence of price gouging taking place. Supply and demand, increased demand and limited supply = higher prices. India and China are demanding more oil,the summer driving season, we can't drill in ANWR because of the eco-lobby (even though ANWR was set aside for oil exploration by the left's new saint Jimmy Carter)or anywhere else new for that matter and we haven't built any new refineries since the Nixon era.And then people wonder why prices are through the roof. I don't like high gas prices any more than anyone else but I also hate whiny politicians (on both sides) pandering for votes by trying to destroy an industry. Besides didn't they do this same kind of a probe last year and came to the conclusion that there was no gouging going on?
