Screw it, I'm back. Albeit on a limited basis..
Bush victim washes up near set of CSI Miami:
A man's body floated up near where a crew was filming a scene for the crime show "CSI: Miami," authorities said. The body washed up early Friday in Biscayne Bay at Bicentennial Park, which film crews were using as a helicopter staging ground for aerial shots of a fictional offshore investigation for the CBS show, police said. A homeless man (another Bush victim) spotted the body and alerted an off-duty police officer who was working security on the set, police said.
Security beefed up around Pontiff:
The Pope in a bit of a pickle:
Italian media reported that security around Pope Benedict XVI has been beefed up following the harsh responses to his remarks on Islam. On Sunday the pope is expected to deliver his weekly sermon from his summer home, and it is still not clear whether he will address the international uproar his comments have stirred. In a speech delivered last week in Germany the pope quoted 14th-century Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologus who said: "Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."
Not nice, painting with a broad brush?Perhaps. But I've heard people say similar things about Christians and few got their shorts in a bunch over it. You know the riff, all Christians want to do is burn people at the stake that disagree with them, Hitler was a Christian, Bush is a Christian, Bush therefore is Hitler, Hitler therefore is Bush, Christians want to revive the Crusades and let's not forget Rosie O'Donnells brilliant thesis that extremist Christians are more dangerous than extremist Muslims, blah,blah,blah....I wonder if security is being beefed up around Rosie? Rosie is beefed up around Rosie, this much I know...
Ooh boy! Another book from Gore. I wonder what the Earth Destroying menace is that he'll tackle this time? Let's see:
Although saying he has no plans to run for president in 2008, former vice president Al Gore has nonetheless left the door ever so slightly ajar. It's a good bet that door will swing open a good bit wider come next May. That is when Gore is scheduled to publish his next book. With no fanfare, he signed a few weeks ago with Penguin Press to write "The Assault on Reason." As described by editor Scott Moyers, the book is a meditation on how "the public arena has grown more hostile to reason," and how solving problems such as global warming is impeded by a political culture with a pervasive "unwillingness to let facts drive decisions."
Sounds like typical Gore spewage. Please run.
According to John Kerry, Bin Laden was in Iowa:
Kerry Accuses Bush of Abandoning Bin Laden Hunt In Iowa...
'Nuff said there...
Bill Maher Not "Free" To Speak On CBS:
"On Friday's Real Time on HBO, Maher explained that CBS approached him to do a 'freeSpeech' segment on the new Evening News. He asked if he could talk about religion but was rejected and told that he would be provided with a list of 'approved' topics," an e-mailer says. A second e-mailer asks: "Was he 'free' to express his views as long as he did not touch religion?..."
You mean as long as he didn't touch Chrsitianity? I've seen Bill in action many times. Look at me, here's a guy (me) who would best describe himself as "not particularly religious" getting annoyed by all the Christophobia that's out there...I'm jumping the gun a bit perhaps about what he would say I know, but that having been said, I think Bill should be allowed to say whatever he wants, that would be a far greater courtesy than he extends to a lot of his guests...
Another hackneyed cliche from George Soros. You'll never guess what it is. Wait for it...Bush is a Nazi!! What a dipshit...that doesn't even annoy me anymore. It never really did. One thing that just now struck me is how much George Soros looks like Danny Thomas. Coincidence? I think not!!
Gotta drum up those election fears in advance:
An overhaul in how states and localities record votes and administer elections since the Florida recount battle six years ago has created conditions that could trigger a repeat -- this time on a national scale -- of last week's Election Day debacle in the Maryland suburbs, election experts said. In the Nov. 7 election, more than 80 percent of voters will use electronic voting machines, and a third of all precincts this year are using the technology for the first time. The changes are part of a national wave, prompted by the federal Help America Vote Act of 2002 and numerous revisions of state laws, that led to the replacement of outdated voting machines with computer-based electronic machines, along with centralized databases of registered voters and other steps to refine the administration of elections.
Ever since 2000 voter machine (or voter) irregularitie s have become the norm. Whenever a democrat loses, voter irregularities will be the reason. The unspoken truth? Rove, pit bulls, voting machines,Wolfowitz at the World Bank, jackboots, ok I'm blowing things out of proportion a bit...no I'm not! Just listen to some of those guys...

Ya know... I SAW some of the irregularities in the last election fist hand. A small example, to be sure, but they were real. It was easy to see them too. All you had to do was actually look - but that wouldn't matter to anyone who thinks there's no such thing as global warming. People who have decided that somehow we liberals WANT there to be ecological problems so we can blame the Republicans (and that if there weren't any, we'd make 'em up)or any such nonsense are just not worth arguing with... usually they don't give much of a shit about the next generation or ten anyway and they certainly can't be old enough to simply REMEMBER winters and summers just thirty or forty years ago. If I get some of my science from Al Gore, so be it... better than getting it from Rush Limbaugh. Gee, wonder which one of them has studied it more?

Gate, my special friend, they've probably done an equal amount of digging, Gore is no more qualified to speak on the issue than Limbaugh, Gore is a politician, Limbaugh a commentator, I don't base my opinions on Global Warming on Limbaugh. As my brother said "I read where it's the hottest summer in 400 years, so that means 401 years ago it was hotter." Climate is what we want, weather is what we get. James P. Hogan's website is a great place to read some good articles on climate science, and just so he has some street cred with you...he hates Bush.
