A New Strain of Fundamentalism:
Let's start today with a little fan mail courtesy of my favorite spamblogging left wing cliche spouting, self appointed arbiter of all that is right and (in my case) wrong, Sewergate, who claims to be Jesus or writing as Jesus or claims to know how Jesus wrote, because you see ladies and gentlemen, Jesus was a liberal and I'm glad we have people like Sewergate around to set us straight, otherwise guys like me would go around thinking that maybe Jesus didn't have a political agenda based on today's two party system. But then again, maybe 1,000 years ago Greenland was green, a gigantic grassland, and man caused global warming turned it into a giant ice sheet in the 20th Century because I drive a car....
Hope you don't have kids. Sometimes, ya know, just after we lefties are suddenly concerned by something you folks have known about for some time, like the threat of terrorism, which, frankly I hadn't even heard of till the Democratic response to the SOTU address the other night, we read fairy tales about stuff that irrefutably shows how fucked up the climate changes have been over the past twenty years, but then we fall asleep soundly after being reminded by brilliant folks like you who say it's all foolishness. And the rationale is so reassuring as well... "critics say...." "some pundit's claim..." "Al Gore said it so we know it's false"
As I said... Hope you people don't breed.
Just for fun, look at some sat photos of Antarctica from, say, twenty years ago, ten, five and last year... Ask Rush to explain it. He'll say, "Many scientists don't believe it's a problem.... Then he'll quote non-scientists who've written articles about the subject using HIM or folks just like him as a "source."
A hundred and ten years ago, you'd have been in the camp who knew for a fact that automobiles would never catch on, and forty years ago, you'd have made jokes about the idea of people having computers in their homes... after all, there were EXACTLY the same kind of articles and derisive tripe you post about these new subjects, and from the same sort of shortsighted goof-balls. (Go back and look at some old publications - they're full of sarcastic opinion articles like you post... Easy to find.) Thankfully, like them, your lack of thinking become largely irrelevant. You'd have been one who thought Eisenhower's huge Federal Highway program was tantamount to totalitarianism and would wreck the country. "Cant have the fed's involved... blah, blah, blah."
Your sort doesn't really DO anything do you? It's all poorly written self- referencing shit you copy and post from one web-site to the next then use each other as "proof" of your own "right" thinking.
Keep thinking that I'll come here just once and see something well thought out and thoughtfully presented.
Maybe someday.
Naw, I wouldn't want to disappoint you. If people such as yourself ran the world "you people" like me wouldn't be allowed to breed? Do you realize how stupid you sound?
Sewergate my little cupcake, here are some examples of just how far around the horn we've been with the issue of Climate Change in a mere110-120 years. And yes, the Earth is just a smidgen older than 110- 120 years: (HT James P. Hogan )

And my personal favorite:
The Daily Telegraph, February 2, 2006
"Billions will die, says Lovelock, who tells us that he is not usually a gloomy type. Human civilization will be reduced to a'broken rabble ruled by brutal warlords,' and the plague-ridden remainder of the species will flee the cracked and broken earth to the Arctic, the last temperate spot where a few breeding couples will survive."
Nothing like a little drama. If one were to "flee the cracked and broken earth to the Arctic" wouldn't one still be on earth? Climate is what we want, weather is what we get. Anyway, come back anytime Sewergate, I love hearing from you.
Nanci Pelosi and Jack (Abscam) Murtha do Baghdad:
Pelosi, a key player in the Democratic takeover of Congress, has helped lead opposition in Washington to Bush's retooled Iraq strategy which envisages sending 21,500 reinforcements to help quell raging sectarian violence, especially in Baghdad. She has accused Bush, a long-time foe, of playing politics with soldiers' lives and said after his State of the Union address to Congress this week that he had ignored the concerns of the American public over the unpopular war.A U.S. embassy official said Pelosi, the first woman speaker of the House, had arrived in Iraq at the head of a six-member congressional delegation for meetings with Iraqi and U.S. officials but did not plan any public appearances.
She's also heading up a governmental panel to save us from Climate Change, she can do it all...she doesn't even need to go there, she just needs to say we're stretched too thin, we're in it for the oil and Saddam was never a threat and we're losing. Nanci, we need you here, back home, to save us from Climate Change not gallavanting around the globe cataloging HitlerBurton's wreckless military adventurism. I finally got something right didn't I? Global Warming pounds NYC:
