Ooh! This is cutting edge:

"You and your smarmy pundits -- and the smarmy pundits you have in your pocket -- can take your war and shove it," Penn said. "Let's unite not only in stopping this war, but in holding this administration accountable."

Turn it into a movie and you could get another Oscar. Someone trying to rain on Gore's parade and it's not Mother Nature:

You probably didn't notice it (since readers of The Crypt have actual lives), but late Friday afternoon, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) tried to get Senate Republicans to allow former Vice President Al Gore to stage a global warming concert on Capitol grounds. But Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) objected to Reid's request, and the resolution authorizing the concert, for now, remains stuck in the Rules and Administration Committee.

Don't worry Harry, whine enough and the Republicans will cave, works everytime. Hagel wants to Impeach HitlerBurton W. McChimpstein:

With his go-it-alone approach on Iraq, President Bush is flouting Congress and the public, so angering lawmakers that some consider impeachment an option over his war policy, a senator from Bush’s own party said Sunday.

Well, he's got Neil Young on his side....

More on Al or Moron Al,  probably more the latter:

Not only is his power bill 20 to 30 times higher than mine, he also opposes the elimination of toxic chemicals in Apple's
products:

As part of the Board of Directors for Apple Inc., Al Gore is in a unique position to help green the company. In fact, Greenpeace and 73 other groups have called on Gore to help make Apple an industry leader against the growing problem of electronic, or e-waste. So, when two shareholder proposals were recently introduced to Apple’s Board, calling for an elimination of toxic chemicals in Apple’s products, and a comprehensive take-back and recycling program, we were sure Al Gore would champion our cause.

We were wrong. According to Draft documents, the Board “unanimously” opposes both proposals, and is due to send out a statement recommending that stockholders vote against them both.

“It would be shocking if Vice President Gore opposed stronger environmental policies at Apple,” said Rick Hind, Legislative Director for the Greenpeace Toxics Campaign.  “If anyone can convince this company to be a leader on the environment, it’s Al Gore. The last thing he should be doing is opposing stronger policies on toxics and e-waste take-back,” he continued.

I guess the Apple Soy Milk Laptop 5000 is still a no go. Oh well, Al can buy Carbon Offsets from his own company and assuage his guilt, assuming he has any....if anybody needs the glass holding cell, it's "The Former Vice".

The Great Global Warming Swindle.
